Historic Venues
We love the Asian Art Museum with a lobby that leads to a Grand Staircase, a dramatic spot for a ceremony with guests looking on from the Loggia above. This airy arcade, with its barrel-vaulted decorative ceiling, is perfect for cocktails, allowing guests to explore and admire the world-class exhibits. The Fairmont San Francisco features two of the most glamorous venues – the Venetian and Gold Ballrooms, both light and airy with elaborately detailed gold-leaf ceilings and crystal chandeliers. Of course, stately elegance and exquisite architectural design make San Francisco City Hall a perfect venue for celebrating the most important occasions.
Outdoor Venues
If you’re excited about modern industrial wedding decor, want a venue in the middle of the city that utilizes its outdoor space in unique ways and is steeped in history, then you’ve got to consider The San Francisco Mint. Shakespeare’s Garden is tucked neatly inside of Golden Gate Park on the northwestern edge of the city and, trust us, it’s romantic enough for Romeo, Juliet and Othello combined. Welcome your guests through a wrought iron gate; enjoy a walk down 165-foot brick-paved aisle and wed in front of an antique sundial in front of up to 200 guests. An open, but gated space, couples who wed at Dispea Gardens and their guests have unmarked views of the ocean along with lots of room to create distinct wedding stations at the venue. While the manicured grass and sandy shores will be plenty of decoration for some couples, others will find the relatively blank space of Dipsea Gardens perfect for all of their garden wedding ideas. With over 16 acres of formal gardens, a one-of-a-kind grand ballroom, and nine dynamic event spaces, Filoli Gardens is the idyllic setting for wedding celebrations!
Indoor Venues
The Julia Morgan Ballroom features a barrel-vaulted lobby, adorned with gold leaf and bronze, shines with an abundance of natural light from the curved glass ceiling. But the pièce de résistance is the Ballroom, with its handcrafted mahogany ceiling, classic columns, and tall arched windows showcasing the glittering cityscape. Accommodating up to 800 guests, The Pearl’s event spaces feature a main floor, mezzanine, rooftop, and a fully equipped catering kitchen. Opt for a stunning wedding at The Bentley Reserve. The ceremony and reception will take place in the Banking Hall, and the cocktail hour will take place on the Mezzanine (which has an outside terrace) while the room is flipped. The outside terrace is only used during cocktail hour.
