Just as Patty dreamed, this Monarch Beach wedding had the perfect classic, soft, and romantic vibe. We love every last detail of Patricia and Chris’ big day.
A note from the Bride about their love story: Chris and I met the way more and more couples are meeting in the 21st century….online. I came across Chris’s dating profile on OKCupid in the Summer of 2012 and was pleasantly surprised to find someone so genuine, determined, and incredibly handsome. I was very reluctant to send him a message (I thought the guy should message the girl first) but my roommate at the time, Saumya, pushed me to shoot him a message. Luckily he replied, and after a couple of weeks of back and forth messages, we decided to meet up. Chris and I had our first date at AYZA Wine & Chocolate Bar in the West Village (we were both living in NYC at the time). As we shared a bottle of wine, I knew that there was an instant connection, and that we would go beyond just our first date.
Chris and I started dating soon after. Some of our first dates included drinks, dinners, movies, and exploring NYC. We took trips to Veil, CO and Washington D.C. and also to Wisconsin and California to meet each other’s families. In June of 2014, we made a big change and moved to Chicago together. We adopted our cat, Morris, in October, and he has been such a big part of our lives ever since. For July 4th weekend 2015, we were in California visiting my parents when Chris proposed. His parents flew in to surprise me, and our families were able to celebrate the engagement together.
