From the bride... "Mike and I met in Manhattan Beach during a volleyball tournament. We lived about an hour away from each other, me in West Hollywood and him in Hermosa Beach, but our offices in downtown LA were only a block away from each other. So the first couple months of dating consisted of 6am coffees and rushed lunch breaks when I could sneak away from my desk. Only after we had been dating about 6 months did I find out he was coming to work 2 hours before he needed to be at the Speedo Headquarters just so he could see me before my workday started working for 3 insane, but amazing brokers. I knew from the first night that I met him that he was different. It made me incredibly nervous and excited and my roommate at the time, and best friend to this day has never stopped hearing about how much I love him 6 years later."
From the groom... "Kristina and I met when we were both living in London in 2013. I'm originally from St. Louis and went to college at Miami of Ohio. I had been living in London for school for the year and Kristina came over in January 2013 from USC to study abroad. Kristina's best friend and roommate at both USC and London, Cate, was a friend of mine from high school, and I found out they lived just down the road from me in London. Within the first week of their arrival, I met up with them at their apartment to go out one night. Kristina was actually in a wheelchair the first time I met her since she had broken both of her feet in a skiing accident just days before flying over to London. We had a connection and hit it off right away. We continued to get together almost daily following our first night out and had 4 months of adventures together in London before heading back home. I luckily got an internship in Los Angeles that summer and we continued our relationship. We spent a year long-distance during our final year of college, visiting each other almost every weekend while our relationship continued to grow. I moved out to Los Angeles after college when our lives finally came together again. 5 years later and we are now officially getting married at the One & Only Palmilla!"
From the bride... "Nathan and I have known each other for a long time but didn't really start to notice each other until the Fall of 2011. I was back from spending a year in Madrid, Spain teaching English, and was living at home while working, studying for the LSAT, and filling out law school applications. Knowing that I would most likely be leaving in a year to attend law school in another city, I wasn't looking for or planning on starting a new relationship with anyone. The universe laughed at my plans, and by the end of 2011, I had fallen for the funny, intelligent, handsome, and often-goofy guy who I am lucky enough to get to marry on June 10th. Despite the fact that we lived in separate cities for 3 years (Nathan in Nashville and me in Knoxville), our relationship remained strong. I couldn't wait to graduate and move back to Nashville to start what (I hoped!) would be the rest of our lives together. Highlights of our years together include many wonderful trips, both on our own and with family, celebrating many of our friends getting married, getting our second dog (Macho Man, black lab - see photo album!), an amazing post-bar-exam trip through Europe, and of course, the trip to Cabo when we got engaged. We are so excited to have our family and friends join us back in Cabo, one of our most favorite places in the world, to help us celebrate both our past and our future together. It will be a weekend full of sun, beautiful scenery, delicious food and drink, and happiness at One & Only Palmilla!"
From the groom... "Nikki and I met almost 6 years ago, and instantly had a connection. From our first date in New York City (even though we both lived in Los Angels) to introducing Nikki to my 3 young children, we have been inseparable through it all. We are so excited and feel blessed to finally making the union official... And of course, it needed to be a destination... So Cabo it is at the One and Only Palmilla!"
