Perhaps no other winery captures the casual luxury of Sonoma County better than Chalk Hill Estate. Founded nearly four decades ago, this spectacular 1300-acre property features 300 acres of vineyards, wilderness areas, winery, hospitality center, culinary garden, residence, stables, and equestrian pavilion.

Scenic Views

Chalk Hill Estate is one of the most spellbinding wineries in the world. Hidden in the rugged foothills of the Mayacamas Mountain Range that divides Napa and Sonoma Counties, the winery offers extraordinary scenery, a sense of serenity and seclusion, cooling maritime breezes, and a providential climate for wine grapes. More than 1,300 acres are devoted to vineyards, a winery, culinary garden, residence, stables, equestrian pavilion, sports fields, fishing and swimming ponds, guest houses, and expansive wilderness areas.

Artisanal Culinary

Chalk Hill boasts a long history of agricultural pioneering. For more than a century, they have been an important producer of gourmet produce, meats, poultry, and wine. Their culinary teams are the finest in Wine Country. Fresh ingredients, wine- pairings, and a dedicated determination to quality. It’s no question your wedding guests will have a culinary experience at Chalk Hill Estate.

Outdoor Venues

Cresting the 1300-acre estate is Chalk Hill Ridge Park. At an elevation of 400 feet, the park affords gorgeous 360-degree views of the Estate’s primary vineyards, natural ranchlands, and the Russian River Valley. Stroll down the rock-wall-lined pathway from the Alexander Valley Vista to the manicured lawn, perfect for an outdoor ceremony. Native 500-year-old oak and bay trees are the Estate “soldiers” surrounding the park, offering scenery and shade.

Indoor Venues

The most stunning architectural feature of the Chalk Hill Estate Vineyards & Winery is the Estate Pavilion. This elegant hillside retreat is nestled among beautiful oak groves surrounded by acres of vineyards. Inside, the rustic decor and gorgeous hardwood floors contrasting with the handcrafted, 21- foot-tall, French Louis XIII-style limestone fireplace. The exterior glass windows offer a breathtaking panorama from every viewpoint. Picture windows open up to the Olympic-sized dressage riding arena, beautifully crafted of Alaskan golden cedar. Guests can enjoy Chalk Hill wines with hors d’oeuvres on the Pavilion terrace overlooking the entire Chalk Hill Valley. The awe-inspiring view extends across the Russian River Valley towards the Sonoma Coast.

Set amidst the vineyards, the Chalk Hill Estate Chapel provides quiet respite for those who enter into the mission-style church. The tower houses bells from the “Whitechapel Bell Foundry”- the same manufacturer who forged the liberty bell. Hand-hewn timbers, native Mexican tiles, and volcanic rocks blend artfully with the earth-toned walls. This is the perfect setting for an intimate wedding.
